Glacier National Park

It is still winter here in Glacier National Park. "Going to the sun" road (aka Logan's Pass) is still closed due to snow. Though we got to lounge and enjoy McDonald Lake which is on the Western entrance of the park. The temperature was around 75 degrees...so freaking NICE! Here are some pictures from the day. The ones of the ducks taking off from the edge of the lake is spectacular though I wished I could have been a little closer to catch the excitement and gain the better clarity!

State Signs

Today we traveled through three states. Washington, Idaho, and resting in White Fish, Montana for the next few days. Getting these pictures at the state line can somewhat be our right dangerous! The one I needed when we passed into Washington State sat in the median of the interstate! Usually there is a nice turnout to stop along the roadway. Therefore, we had to exit off the highway and into a shopping center's parking lot that was situated on a hill. We passed through the northwest part of Idaho and then before we knew it, we found ourselves in the "Big Sky" state of Montana!

Oregon

We have passed into Oregon and we are now in Yakima Washington. We have been fortunate as the weather has been excellent and perfect. The drive has been smooth and traffic has been minimal. We are definitely not in California anymore!

Deasy's "No Reservations" Road Trip

Hello Family and Friends,

We have officially embarked on our "no reservations" road trip through the northwest and central United States!

Seriously a "no reservations" road adventure! We make the plans as we go with no particular destinations and no time constraints for two whole weeks!

We left our little home in Yuba city around 10 am (actually we tried to get up at 6am; obviously that didn't happen) on Saturday, the 17th. Then we headed to IHOP for a good start to our new adventure. We got across the Oregon Border and headed for beautiful Crater Lake!

Tim's Cooking???

For all of you that know Tim...HE DOES NOT cook! You will be amazed of what I walked into after a long week of work in the city. My wonderful husband went to the grocery store and purchased food to make dinner for the first time in the 12 years since we met.

He sauted the ground beef, then added freshly cut tomatoes and bell peppers. On the other side stove he had a pot boiling with water for the Penne! Then he pulled out a bag of greens for a little salad to go with the pasta dinner!

After all his hard work, we devoured the dinner! Overall opinion...it was a delicious meal!

HE CAN COOK AGAIN!

CAUTION: Trying to figure out how to rotate the picture...in the meantime just tilt your head! ENJOY!
